Yes, simple as that! Don’t forget to breathe! We do forget… all the time!
I want calm, clarity and confidence!
Tonight I felt a little unaligned. I said to myself well what is it that I want? Instead of the usual rant of I want to be a millionaire and I want to be beautiful etc etc… I said what do you want now?
I came up with a little list. I wanted calm. I wanted clarity. Most of all, I wanted confidence.
I WANT CALM
The first word I looked at on my list was calm. I closed my eyes and said what is calm. I started to breathe deeply. I felt calm. I was astonished. I was feeling what I wanted to feel…. And it was working. I was feeling better within seconds… yes seconds… it wasn’t near 60 seconds… it was less than 10 seconds that it took for me to raise my vibration!
The simple act of breathing deeply, through my nose – feeling yes I have it all under control. I even noticed my head nodding. I was getting there! I continued just breathing deeply – it felt good. I was saying to myself – I am calm, I am feeling better, everything is actually fine….
I even wondered what was causing my ‘lack of calmness’ before…
I WANT CLARITY
I looked at the next word that stood out – clarity.
Again I asked the ‘what is’ question. What is clarity? What would it take for me to feel ‘clarity’? I was feeling a little mixed up you see. I was preparing for a trip and had a lot to do the next day and all I could see was an empty suitcase that needed to be packed, a messy house and paperwork that I had to clear up. I wanted that to be done and to see beyond it. Where was normal life gone? What about all the other things going on in life –where had they disappeared to? Is everything ok? Am I supposed to be doing something else?
So to feel ‘clarity’ – I asked what it would mean to me. It would mean being organised for the trip and being ‘clear’ in my mind about what I had to get to when I got back.
Ok simple as that. That’s all – so the next day was allotted in my head to the packing and a little house blitz… and making a simple list of anything else on mind to tend to when I got back. I decided all was well, nothing had to be done this red hot minute – ie right now and tomorrow was the day to tend to these tasks one by one and ‘calmly’.
All is well I said – I have all I need – all I have to do is put it in the case. An hour round the house will work wonders – one by one tomorrow I will tackle those and right now- my task is to get from this seat to the bed… for a nice peaceful sleep!!!!
I WANT CONFIDENCE
I then looked at the last desire I had written – confidence – well I had it! Without further effort I had achieved the confidence I wanted. Achieving the calm and clarity led to the confidence I wanted. The confidence was a product of these two!
THE MAGIC KEY
What do you think helped the most in my little endeavour to achieve these desires?
For me, it was the breathing… the deep breaths to achieve the calm I wanted. It wasn’t on purpose that I put calm on my list as the first item. It must have been prime on my mind. I knew I was on edge and feeling nervous so this is the first thing that popped up when I asked myself truly what I wanted right now.
Asking ‘what is…’ for each one made me get the feeling. As I asked what is calm, what is clarity and I defined them to myself – the feeling came. Ask yourself the ‘what is…’ question for your desires. You’ll be amazed at how it clarifies for you what you want to feel.
I won’t forget these desires I had tonight as I wanted three C’s – calm, clarity and confidence…
And by the way, it wasn’t on purpose that I identified three wants beginning with the letter C .. I’ve no particular attachment to the letter C (lol)… it just turned out that way!
It’s good though, as I’ll remember them now and when I feel a little unaligned or ‘mixed up again’ I now have a tool to help me. I’ll remember the 3 C’s that helped calm me down and feel clearer about where I was and gain the confidence I needed!
TRY YOUR OWN EXERCISE
Try this yourself. If you feel a little unaligned, identify what you want NOW! What would you like to feel right now. If it’s hard to identify what you want, identify how you feel first – the other end of the stick… and then turn it around. For example, you may feel a little messy or unorganised… so you want to feel more organised. You may feel sad- so you want to feel a little joy.
KEEP IT SIMPLE
Don’t write a long paragraph for your wants – just keep it simple and write a few simple bullet points. Go through them one by one and ask yourself what it would mean to you to feel this.
DON’T FORGET TO BREATHE
Most of all, don’t forget to breathe. Look at where it got me! It was the key to getting to the clarity and confidence I wanted. Take things one by one, give yourself credit and smile. You’re doing great. Don’t forget that! Too often we do!
